Welcome to Magnet Inn, your cozy guesthouse in Ella, Sri Lanka, founded in 2012 by Priyantha Rathnayaka. Our goal is to offer a memorable stay in this beautiful hill country town.
Our Story:
Magnet Inn was established in 2012 by Priyantha Rathnayaka, a local entrepreneur who fell in love with Ella and its surroundings. He wanted to create a place where travelers could enjoy the best of Ella's attractions, such as the Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, the Ella Rock, and the Ravana Falls, while also experiencing the warm hospitality and culture of Sri Lanka. Priyantha Rathnayaka named the guesthouse Magnet Inn because he believes that Ella has a magnetic charm that attracts people from all over the world. He also wanted to reflect his own passion for magnetism and physics, which he studied at the Ceylon hotel corporation, Colombo Sri Lanka.

- I really liked my stay here. Its super central, with nice staff and pleasant hipster vibe. My room was freshly painted, really clean with a good shower and comfy bed. I came from a different place in Ella and this was a clean and bright relief.Stayed in March 2023

Our stay at Magnet was amazing. We booked 1 night and ended up staying there 4 nights. We spended also a lot of time at the lobbie since the view was nice and the Lotus flowers smell so good. Best about Magnet is the stuff, really heartwarming and helpful people. We'll be back there very soon!
